Going to Makati has always been a hassle, especially when you’re coming from the northern part of the Metro.
There’s the horrendous EDSA traffic, and there are the long lines and jam-packed coaches of MRT 3 during the rush hour.
So when a point-to-point bus service is offered to several areas in Metro Manila, commuting became a little bit bearable. Riding the P2P bus from Trinoma in Quezon City may only take up to 1.5 hours to Makati. The travel may last to 3 hours from the same point if you’re riding a normal bus to your destination.
Now, the Froehlich Tours Inc., the company behind the P2P Trinoma-Makati route, is offering a new premium service for its riders.
Starting September 1, they are rolling out their P2P “Black” Skyliner buses. These level up buses, called VIP Neoplan Skyliner, will travel the Trinoma-Makati-Trinoma route for only P100 (as the mandated limit of one-way fare by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board).
“We identified a demand of 500 to 600 passengers per day who are willing to pay the full fare of P100 to enjoy a more dedicated service in a business class style environment,” said Christopher Bauer, one of the company’s founders, in an interview with Manila Insider.
The premium bus will have five roundtrips available on a first-come-first-served basis from Mondays to Saturdays, including regular holidays.
The “Black” Premium Service has its own on-board stewardess/coordinator to collect tickets and to assist passengers throughout their journey. The premium buses have a wider leg room, dedicated lounge area with captain seats for senior citizens, PWD, and pregnant Women on the lower floor.
Fares are still discounted for senior citizens, PWD, pregnant women, and students. Meanwhile, they still offer a free trip for those in wheelchairs.
