Makati City is not only a center of commerce, the city also boasts a wide variety of restaurants within the vicinity. A lot of the great food spots open one after the other, offering various food options for those in the busy city.

New restaurants have joined the Makati food scene serving their own takes on various cuisines. Here are the newest Makati Restaurants that should be on your radar:

1. ABKD

Location: 5663 Alfonso Street, Poblacion

Whatever the day, comfort food will always easily lighten up your mood. If you need a hearty meal, you can count on chef Lica Ibarra’s takes on classic comfort food. The fireworks of flavors on their MNL Clam Chowder will make you go back.

2. Bohemia

Location: 4740 Salamanca Street, Poblacion

Standing out in the area of Poblacion as a bar is a hard feat. But for Bohemia, it is quite easy. It’s not surprising because they have a pescatarian menu (no pork, chicken, or beef). It is also the home of the local craft beer Nipa Brew. Must-tries: Pumpkin and Spinach Lasagna, Uni Cream Pasta, and Portobello Mozza Burger.

3. Lumu

Location: 3/F Greenbelt 3, Ayala Avenue

Flaunting its laid-back beerhouse vibe featuring Filipino favorites, Chef Luigi Muhlach opened Lumu. Find your favorite dishes like Papaitan, Kilawin, and Chicken Dinakdakan in this new restaurant. Feel free to try their Hardcore Kambing Sampler, where you can get three various goat dishes in one order perfect for beer nights.

4. Camp Curry

Location: Ayala Triangle Gardens, Paseo de Roxas Street corner Ayala Avenue

All things curry, Camp Curry specializes in their masterful take on curry variations from different countries like Japan and Thailand. Aside from that, they were quite consistent with the camp vibes they give to their customers. They have shovel-like spoons, drinks come in tumblers, and the highlight of any camp, S’mores Special for dessert!

5. Kermit Manila

Location: 4636 Molina Street, Poblacion

Dubbed by Conde Nast Traveler as the “best pizza and pasta in the country,” the Siargao favorite pizzeria Kermit is ready to show off they are worth the name in their first Manila branch. The best way to fit their laid-back atmosphere appropriately? Join Poblacion’s roster of great hangout places! As usual, their pizza and pasta still rock, but their Manila branch looks more easy-going and chill, with surfboards on display to stay grounded to their roots.

6. Ooma Sushi Bar

Location: 136 Paseo Heights, Leviste Street, Salcedo Village

When you first walk in at Ooma Sushi bar, you’ll definitely notice their garage-doors painted with a Japanese style painting of Mt. Fuji. This sushi-centric branch in Salcedo features sushi and aburi, Kimchi Prawn, Enoki Maki, and many unique combinations on the Japanese favorite.

7. Osakatsu

Location: 2/F ACCM Building, Valero Street, Salcedo Village

If you love the Japanese cuisine, especially Japanese skewers, you’ll definitely love Osakatsu. This restaurant offers unlimited kushikatsu. This Osaka street food is a deep-fried skewers of almost anything (like eggplants, beef strips, cheeseballs, sweet potatoes, etc.) coated in panko before frying. You also get to cook your own kushikatsu, so you know how crunchy you want it to be. You only have 90 minutes, though, but it’s enough to savor the goodness of the Japanese street food.

8. Shawa Wama

Location: P1, Rockwell Powerplant Mall, Plaza Drive

In this cold weather, you need shawarma to warm your nights. If you’re craving Mediterranean food, drop by at Shawa Wama. You won’t go wrong with their best-sellers like crunchy and tasty Red Beet Falafel, and choose between Hot Chili, White Garlic, Mild Chili, and Lemon Garlic.

9.Taqueria Seta

Location: 4988 P. Guanzon Street, Poblacion

Hidden behind a residential-looking gate is Taqueria Seta. Their restaurant flaunts vibrant murals all inspired by Mexico. While their Tex-Mex take on food may not be completely authentic, you’ll totally forget that when you taste Taco Ng Ina Mo!, their deep-fried burrito.

10. The Gourmet Republic

Location: G/F LPL Manor, 116 Leviste Street, Salcedo Village

Food halls are popping up in the Metro but everyone has its distinct style. In Salcedo Village in Makati comes a small cozy food hall offering a variety of dishes. This place is great for groups and office workers who have varied tastes and cravings. All the brands are Chef Happy Ongpauco-Tiu’s group, The Happy Concept Group, so no worries about the quality and its consistency.
