The wait is over. Three years after the hit historical biopic film Heneral Luna comes Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, the second story of the trilogy.
The film released its teaser trailer picking up from the time when General Luna died. It features General del Pilar leading the troops in the war, and his influence and charisma in politics and even on women.
Made by TBA Studios and again directed by Jerrold Tarog, Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral features the life of Gregorio del Pilar, the charismatic and one of the youngest generals in the Philippine-American War. This is one of the most anticipated Filipino historical films among the lined up Pinoy movies this year.
The film stars Paulo Avelino as lead, Mon Confiado as Emilio Aguinaldo, Epy Quizon as Apolinario Mabini, Benjamin Alves as Manuel Quezon among others.
Last February 2017, a 20-minute short film Angelito was exclusively released during the screening of I’m Drunk, I Love You as a prelude to Goyo. It intertwines the upcoming sequel and Heneral Luna.
Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral is coming in theaters on September 5, 2018.
