The other half of the JaDine loveteam is joining Sunnies Studios for their campaigns throughout the year. Just in time for summer, James Reid officially joins the local brand’s growing family.
Embodying the cool, free-spirited, trendy Sunnies Boy persona, it’s not surprising to see him joining the squad.
“We weren’t looking for the Sunnies Studios version of an ‘internet boyfriend,’ we definitely wanted someone more dynamic, more creative; a unique individual who brings more than just a cute face to the brand,” said Martine Cajucom, Creative Director for Sunnies Studios.
Whether you love him or hate him, there’s no middle ground: James Reid is always the talk of the town. He is always busy to break the rules and passionate to break the game. He does everything for the thrill, not for the trophies.
“He’s authentic, he’s chill, and he has the kind of talent that only hard work can bring. We think he’s a good fit for Sunnies Studios,” Cajucom added.
Having the time of his life
Bringing back the spirit of their old campaigns, they shot James more of guerilla-style to capture authenticity through and through. The shoot is inspired by the movie Call Me By Your Name. It was held by a villa’s poolside; snapshots by the photographer Cenon Norial III.
“Seeing the images, we think we’re able to capture a different side of James, a side that’s closer to something real,” added Cajucom.
James is a star, but beyond that, he’s a man trying to live in the moment.
“I’m just here, my work, my music, my real life, and I’m just having a good time,” he enthused.
Even their Marketing Director Georgina Wilson gave a thumbs up to James as their brand’s new face.
“James came out of left field for me. But the more I saw him, the more I understood; the more I liked what he brings and represents. I love his music, I love his music, I love his alternative spirit, his [being an] artista is atypical, and I love the fact that he’s always worn Sunnies Studios ,” she said.
