Airport Dining Gets A Facelift At This New NAIA Terminal 3 Food Hub

Options for food in the airport are usually grab-and-go or fast food. These we consume at some empty corner we find in the crowded waiting area, most often than not to pass time during delayed flights.

Meal time has changed at NAIA Terminal 3, though, with the opening of Manila Life Cafe.

Want a serene space where you can comfortably sit and send emails? Want to experience a classy lounge? Worry no more because Manila Life Cafe by Marriott Hotel has finally arrived. It’s located at the other end of the newly opened Runway Manila.

The Manila Life Cafe is very accessible via Runway Manila which is a 220-meter pedestrian bridge that links NAIA 3 and Newport City. Open 24 hours a day, the bridge boasts of PWD facilities with walkalators and elevators. Aside from that, pregnant women, people with disabilities, guests with infants, and senior citizens can use golf carts for free.

Since its opening, Manila Life has been capturing the palates of the airport crowd, tourists and locals alike, through genuine hospitality, a cozy ambiance, and a Filipino-with-a-twist menu.

Luxe atmosphere

The slick black and white logo of the cafe greets all departing and arriving guests. Compared to the other food establishments/food chains in the airport, Manila Life Cafe offers a hotel-like cafe atmosphere.

The industrial lights on top of the communal table are modern and industrial, made of copper tubes and Edison bulbs. The communal table perfectly fits a large group of 18. Solo travelers or small groups can choose from several small nooks. Photographs of various scenes in the Metro are hung on the walls for a more personalized local touch.

Taste of Manila

For a hotel’s cafe, surprisingly the prices are not expensive at all. Food varies from Php 200-390 pesos only. Affordable right? And because they got big servings, one order is good for two. Filipino dishes and delicacies are given an exciting twist by their homegrown chefs.  One example is their tacos selection composed of Pork Sisig Tacos, Chicken Inasal Tacos, and Crisp Fish Tacos.

Manila Life Cafe’s signature Manila Street food platter that includes fish balls, chicken balls, and fried quail eggs, along with three kinds of sauces namely sweet soy dip, sweet and sour, and spicy vinegar sauce is a must-try. Another best seller is their Sisig Nachos, nacho chips topped with crispy pork bits with chili, onion, and citrus.

One can also enjoy an ice cold beer here after a long flight. They have a wide selection of both local and international beer. Interestingly, their signature cocktails and mocktails feature local fruits such as Baguio strawberries, buko, mango, pineapple, and calamansi.

Front desk at the Cafe

Another best feature of Manila Life Cafe is a front desk from which guests booked in Marriott can remotely check in from while enjoying their Filipino merienda. Guests can also leave their luggage for pick up by the Hotel’s concierge. Likewise, the front desk can also make bookings for walk-in guests.

Unlimited and fast wifi service is available, too.

Have a foreign friend visiting Manila? Or your next flight will be from Terminal 3? Don’t forget to check out Manila Life.

Manila Life Cafe is located at Level 4 , Terminal 3, Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Open daily from 7AM to 8PM.
