NBS Warehouse Sale is happening today. Book sales can be chaotic. Here are some tips that can help you!

In line with the brand’s 75th anniversary, National Book Store has put together their best Warehouse Sale to date: Softbound and hardbound books plus other items (school and office supplies, toys, and stationery products) are on sale starting today, March 15, 2018 (for Laking National Card holders only) until Sunday. This year’s book sale features a lot of famous authors like J.K. Rowling, John Green, Paulo Coelho, Mitch Albom and many more!

Here are the things that you should know to score the best deals from this four-day event:

1. Know where to go.

Gates open as early as 7 am (be early because the lines can get pretty long) on the second floor of the NBS building at Quezon Avenue. Don’t head over to the front entrance (beside Art Bar). Instead, use their side entrance along Scout Borromeo, which is nearer the elevators and escalator that will take you to discounted books heaven. Don’t worry because there’s a large map by the warehouse sale entrance so you can swiftly find your way to your favorite books.

2. Use Your Laking National Card (LNC).

Laking National membership cardholders get to exclusively enjoy the NBS Warehouse Sale today. And for the first time ever, you can use your LNC to get further reductions on the already awesomely discounted books and supplies (major savings alert!). Plus, can also use your e-points to purchase books, and earn points from your Warehouse Sale purchases as well. Every peso is a point, and once you have 1,000 points, you get P10 in your e-purse.

3. Track your budget.

Of course, know your limits. Set your budget before you go to the sale. You wouldn’t want to get more than what you can afford. The good news is, there are a lot of great titles at unbelievable prices this year (the best NBS Warehouse sale to date, tbh).

Aside from the marked down brand new books, they also have a large Thrift Books area. All the books there cost only P50 each. And if you’re buying a lot, you can get additional discounts.

Insider tip: If you buy two thrift books, you’ll only pay P75. Four books will only set you back P125.

4. Check out the Philippine Books section.

If you’re a fan of Philippine literature and books published in the country, there is a designated Anvil area at the right side of the escalator. Fans of Philippine history, Ambeth Ocampo, and Nick Joaquin will surely rejoice because there are limited boxed sets of the works of these authors (P1,200 for four Nick Joaquin books!!!)! Children’s books and toys are also included in the sale.

5. Find your favorite authors!

The Thrift Books Area is a treasure trove of titles by many of his generation’s beloved authors, across various genres. Find Harry Potter Books (J. K. Rowling), Percy Jackson series (Rick Riordan), Tuesdays With Morrie and Five People You Meet In Heaven (Mitch Albom), hardbound covers of Twilight series, Sophie Kinsella Books, and Cassandra Clare books here.

You can also score some Dan Brown books and even John Green books! How’s that for cool finds?

Insider tip: Be meticulous in scanning the shelves, you don’t know what gem you might just find.

There are also a great number of classic books, reference, and science books available. KathNiel, JaDine, and AlDub fans can also score marked down magazines of these celebs for only P75 each.

The NBS Warehouse Sale is open for Laking National Card holders today, March 15, and for the general public beginning March 16 until March 18.
