Hip meets heritage at the newly opened Laperal Apartments Village in Recto Avenue, Manila! This is easily going to be your barkada’s newest hip tambayan!
In a normal day, the busy streets of Claro M. Recto Avenue in Manila might just feature the buzzing roads and a lot of students hustling to get to class or laughing with their friends. At a glance, this part of the so-called “University Belt” is home to a lot of campuses and businesses —with various commercial establishments, schools, an apartment complex.
But in the heart of C.M. Recto Avenue lies the newest and hippest home-turned-tambayan to many students around U-Belt area! With hip culture meeting the heritage of the place, Laperal Youniversity Suites showcases their recently opened L.A Village!
L.A Village is Laperal’s newest food hub, in addition to students’ hangout places around U-Belt. Sure, there might be food parks, malls, and restaurants, but this hidden gem is the best all-in-one package!
A one-of-a-kind food hub
This food hub caters to almost every foodie for a wide range of food choices. The four-storey vintage-inspired complex housed around 40 food stalls and restaurants that will keep all your cravings satisfied.
You don’t have to worry because even with the prices student-friendly, the food quality is not sacrificed.
Here are some of our recommended food spots at L. A. Village:
Halal Kabab Express
If you wanted to taste and feel like you’re in Persia, have a Chicken Biryani or Chelo Kebab at Halal Kabab Express! This restaurant promotes healthy and affordable Halal food with generous servings. You can even share your meals with another person. Gulp the satisfying Rose Water Lassi to finish your meal.
Their interiors were decorated with intrinsic patterns inspired from Persia, and the window completes its nice, homey ambiance.
Pesca Pizza Pasta Company
Craving for Italian Cuisine? Pesca Pizza Pasta Company got it all for you! Order your favorite pizza flavors and pasta dishes like Pesto in Penne, Spaghetti, and Carbona! You can also order slices or a whole pizza.
Must-try: Pesto in Penne plus Sausage and Meatballs Pizza
What is a food hub without Japanese food? Sumo Takoyaki is a small food kiosk that offers our favorite Takoyaki with a Filipino twist for only P28/order (3 pcs.)
Best part? The takoyaki is well-cooked. You can see that it’s cooked with precision and accuracy. Other takoyakis that I tasted before easily crumble and have a visible layer in its diameter. This one doesn’t and it melts in your mouth as you eat it!
Insider tip: If you love spicy takoyaki, you can have spicy squid plus pork toppings topped with spicy sauce.
Your barkada’s one-stop tambayan
Didn’t I say L.A. Village is a one-stop tambayan? They got all you need. L.A. Village has an appliance store, drug store, laundry center, etc. They even converted wooden barrels of fountains to welcome you at the main entrance. That’s not all, they even installed an old World War II aircraft from Germany as its centerpiece!
They also offer Study Haven, a place where you can concentrate and focus on studying. With their high-speed internet up to 200 Mbps, you can study and research all you want with ease.
After a stressful day, or after studying, you can come and de-stress at Gr8t Shots Manila billiard center.
L.A. Village is open from 10 am to 10 pm daily, located at 2119 Claro M. Recto Avenue, Manila (beside University of the East and across San Sebastian College).
