You don’t have to bore a hole in your wallet just to spend a great day with your SO. Check out these great restaurants! You can choose meals all under P500!

There are two kinds of couples during Valentine’s Day – those who actually celebrate and those who ignore it and/or pass it off as just another day in the 365 days given to everyone every year. Nonetheless, whether you celebrate or not, everyone can agree that going on dates can get expensive.

However, you don’t have to blow all your money just to go out with your SO. With this, here are five restaurants with reasonably priced food you can check out that will make you, your partner and your wallet happy.

5. Persephone

For those familiar with Greek mythology, you may have heard of Persephone. From the seasonal menu to the flower mural (to the guys, if you forgot to buy flowers, this might make it up to her), this restaurant in Bel-Air, Makati is the personification of this Greek Goddess.

Perhaps what’s most intriguing about this restaurant is that their menu is seasonal. This basically means that their menu shifts and adjusts like seasons once in a while. If you and your partner would like to try something new and feel the thrill of not knowing what a particular restaurant will offer, then Persephone might be a great place to have your Valentines date.

Since their menu shifts, it’s hard to pinpoint their prices. However, main dishes, desserts and drinks don’t go over Php 600, which isn’t entirely bad for a celebrating hearts’ day.

Where? 120 Jupiter Street, Bel-Air, Makati City

4. Zoo Coffee

Animal lovers, this is the place to be. If gushing over tiger videos on YouTube is one of your past times then maybe you should check out Zoo Coffee on February 14.

Located at Bel-Air, Makati, the first thing you’ll notice is are the animal plushies and “trees”. Zoo Coffee’s ambiance makes you feel like you were thrown to the Safari, a good way to spend Valentine’s Day. (For those who doesn’t have a date, don’t worry. There’s no shame in cuddling one of the panda plushies instead while enjoying a cup of bingsu!)

Their food is reasonably priced, offering you coffee and tea (Php 100-195), waffles (Php 180 – 200), hotdogs, sandwiches (Php 164-240), pasta (Php 145) and bingsu (Php 270-285). Servings are quite many for the price and not to mention the plating itself are IG-worthy.

3. Bengal Brew/Wolf & Bear

Still sticking to the animal theme for this restaurant. However, the difference is that this one is perfect for the couples who are in love with fur babies.  Spend an hour or two with the dogs and cats of Bengal Brew and Wolf & Bear at Cubao, Quezon city.

For Php 199, you get one drink and an hour with these little cuties. If that isn’t enough, you can choose to stay for 2 hours for Php 299 which includes a premium drink.

To add, they also offer pastries if a drink is not enough with prices that range from Php 99 – Php 135. Affordable food and drinks plus a chance to cuddle cats and dogs? Definitely a Valentines worth remembering.

Where? Ground Floor, Manhattan Parkview, Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City

2. 5YNCO Bar

If the kind of date you’re looking for is grabbing a drink after work, head over to Quezon city and check out 5YNCO Bar. With a homey vibe complete with neon interiors, 5YNCO has a reasonably priced menu if you and your partner would like to just unwind and chat after a long day of work (because who said adulting has to stop just because it’s hearts day?)

To make sure you won’t go over your budget, stick to Champagnes, Wines and Shooters which costs around Php 120 to Php 250 a glass. You can order something from their Bar Chows which costs around Php 145 to Php 275 if you’re feeling extra hungry or just something on the side.

1. Lee Hak Korean Restaurant

For the hungry couple and are not afraid to admit it, why not go for a buffet? Individual dishes at Lee Hak are a bit pricey, however, their eat-all-you-can are definitely sulit. Korean food such as Japchae, Kimchi Pancake and the Pork Bulgogi are just some of your options when you eat at this buffet.

Squad 💕

For just Php 389 for their Shabu-Shabu (1st floor) and Php 369 for the Korean Buffet (2nd floor) on Mondays to Thursdays (the 14th falls on a Wednesday this year), you and your partner will end up with happy tummies during your Valentine’s Day dinner.
