The 90’s has been a very iconic era for a lot of millennials in the country. After all, this period was great for the aesthetics, culture, and technology innovation –which is also the period where millennials were born.

What a great way to take a trip down the memory lane but a music festival? Time to celebrate the nostalgia with Playback Music Festival on February 10 at Circuit Makati Event Grounds!

 

The first ever throwback music festival will make you relive the music and memories of the late 1990s and early 2000s! Headlining the major throwback were four international artists and 3 local talents that will perform their best hits!

Prepare yourself for non-stop nostalgia

The performers will surely remind you of your youth with their love songs and hits of not too long ago that everyone loved. Here are the artists you should watch out on Playback Music Festival:

BLUE

The four-member band composed of Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan, and Simon Webbe will serenade you with their amazing vocals. This English boy band reunited in 2011 to perform at 2011 Eurovision. Since then, they are back performing their hit songs along with their new releases.

BLUE is the band behind the iconic “Best in Me” and “One Love” that became some sort of an anthem because everybody knows these songs.

Vertical Horizon

Vertical Horizon is an American alternative rock band known for their songs “Everything You Want” and “Best I Ever Had.” Prepare for the feels once this band starts performing. In 2013, they released an album titled, “Echoes from the Underground.”

Stephen Speaks

Stephen Speaks is back to soothe the night with his calming voice. The iconic acoustic popularized hit songs like “Passenger Seat” and “Out Of My League.” Stephen Speaks is also known as Rockwell Ryan Ripperger, a singer-songwriter. He debuted with “No More Doubt” in 2001 and was certified platinum by Warner Music Philippines in 2003.

Leigh Nash of Sixpence None the Richer

The vocalist of Sixpence None the Richer Leigh Nash is coming to Manila to perform their hit songs,“Kiss Me,” “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and “There She Goes” to fans who loved their songs. The name of Leigh’s band was inspired from C. S. Lewis’ book, “Mere Christianity.” The band was nominated twice at Grammy Awards, Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group for “Kiss Me”  and Grammy Award for Best Rock Gospel Album for “Sixpence None the Richer.”

Rivermaya

Known as one of the country’s music icon, Rivermaya is a Filipino band currently composed of Mark Escueta, Nathan Azarcon, Mike Elgar, and Ryan Peralta. The band popularized a lot of hit songs like ” Himala,” “Ulan,” “Kisapmata,” and “You’ll Be Safe Here.” Previous members of the band are Rico Blanco and Bamboo. This band is ready to take over the night. Of course, you can expect a great set from one of the country’s best bands.

Moonstar88

Maysh Baay and the gang will rock our nights with their heart-hitting songs like “Torete” and “Migraine.” Get your ears and hearts ready because this band will surely take you to a trip down memory lane.

 

MYMP

Make Your Momma Proud is ready to serenade us with their best songs once again. The iconic acoustic duo will sing  their popular tracks for a memorable night. MYMP’s popularity went high through the songs like “Tell Me Where It Hurts” “Only Reminds Me Of You” and “Especially For You.”

Special activities and freebies

There are a lot of exciting activities lined up for all attendees of this festival. Among others are retro video games, movie and TV series screenings, and fashion styles! Everyone is encouraged to go to the festival activities.

Platinum A and B ticket holders can enjoy limited seats and chances for meet and greet passes to see the artists. Plus, Gold and Platinum ticket buyers can enjoy unlimited beer throughout the music fest!
