You don’t have to go to Disneyland to experience this magical fairy tale fantasy! You don’t even have to book a flight or have a passport to make your dream come true because we have a “Disneyland” of our own and it’s only a few hours away from Metro Manila!
Get your nicest dresses and clothes because this attraction will make you want to take A LOT of pictures.
Fantasy World in Lemery, Batangas will take you to a Germany-inspired could-have-been amusement park, with non-operational rides and other amenities. This unfinished theme park was meant to rival Disneyland in the Philippines with its construction in 2001, but the park was never completed.
The fading paint and aging structures gives off an eerie atmosphere, but the place is still clean and the interiors are still in shape. After all, the 30-hectare park is maintained by the neighboring residents and diligent keepers.
The park’s owners, ECE Realty & Development, installed rides in February 2017. Since then, it was converted into a photo park. It is still uncertain if the rides will operate in the long run.
The park’s mystery enchants people to a trance, especially for those who want to take those picture-perfect moments for various occasions. A lot of barkadas also drop by to explore the place for the ultimate insta-worthy shots!
For P1,000, ten people can already enter inside this abandoned castle! You can look around and take pictures of this enchanting theme park.
Access to specific rooms and sitting in the throne requires additional payment. Take it up a notch and enjoy the whole Fantasy World experience with the use of their exclusive clubhouse for a lifetime membership.
Easy travel from Metro Manila
Fantasy World is just hours away from Metro Manila and the travel to this hidden gem is quite easy. It is better to go as a group than alone (because even if you go there alone, you’ll still pay 1,000) and rent a van or use your private vehicle if you plan to go there.
If you’re commuting from Metro Manila, you can ride a bus to Balayan/ Calatagan/ Nasugbu Batangas on terminals in Cubao or Buendia and drop off at what they call “Boundary” of Alfonso, Cavite and Nasugbu, Batangas (P170). Ride a jeep to Lemery and ask if the driver will take Diokno Road (P10).
Insta-worthy photos await
Many people conduct photoshoots in the park for various occasions. You can definitely feel like a royalty on the Castle’s interior. Make your fairy tale dream come true with the four-brick patterned structures in a quadrangle. Feel as if you’re in the Medieval Period and dress up like you own a kingdom!
They have various mini rides like a Mini Ferris Wheel, a Mini Roller Coaster, a small Merry Go Round, among others. Although they aren’t functional, you can still take a lot of photos with them. You can also takes pictures with their interactive installation arts and have those artsy pictures you wanted!
You need to see their Maze Garden and climb the top of their treehouses! Love the scenic view of Taal Volcano and nearby lush forests. Don’t fret, the bridge connecting the treehouses were well-maintained. So, you’ll be safe.
Fantasy World might not be a functional theme park, but its charisma makes curios travelers want to see the place for themselves. Fantasy World is located at Diokno Highway, Lemery, Batangas.
