5. The Lion King
This massively popular Broadway adaptation of the much adored Disney film, The Lion King is finally premiering in Manila. It features Elton John and Tim Rice’s award-winning songs from the film including “Circle of Life” and “Can You Feel The Love Tonight”.
The unique production is sure to bring the Serengeti to life through the most creative visual artistry and wonderful song and dance performances ever to grace a stage.

Eugene Domingo and Sherry Lara star in the local adaptation of the highly regarded Pulitzer Prize-winning contemporary drama, ‘Night, Mother.
This dark comedy play happens in real time and is about a daughter telling her mother that she wishes to take her life before the evening is over.

The Sandbox Collective is bringing the beloved Philippine cinema classic, Himala back to stage. The musical will star a cast of experienced stage actors including Aicelle Santos who will be playing Elsa, a role made famous by silver screen superstar, Nora Aunor.

2. Ballets and Ballads
Dance company, Ballet Manila is staging Martin Lawrence’s Aria their majestic routines and awe-inspiring form of storytelling.
It is the perfect show to watch for Valentine season with live music from the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra and performances from singers like Christian Bautista.

1. Arsenic and Old Lace
REP is staging an adaptation of American playwright Joseph Kesserling’s dark comedy about the Brewster family and their brand of insanity. This local adaptation stars Joy Virata, Jay Glorioso, Raymond Conception, and Jeremy Domingo, among many others and is directed by Jamie Wilson.
