If you’re craving authentic Italian cuisine with an instant trip to Italy, you should definitely go to the newly opened Buca di Beppo restaurant at BGC!
Filipinos definitely love to eat. Who doesn’t? The Philippines is home to delicious food with the help of the variety of spices, and not exploring different dishes that will satisfy our taste buds make it such a waste. Our love for food is probably the main reason why there are a lot of different restaurants and food businesses in the country. We are more open-minded and welcoming when it comes to foreign food, just like our appreciation of the Italian cuisine.
Our relationship for Italian cuisine can be traced to birthdays, meriendas, and just casual dinners with our family. We generally welcome Italian food like our own –pizzas, the ever-present spaghetti, carbonara, and lasagna, perhaps, because we can share it with others.
Sharing your favorite Italian food with your family makes this newly-opened Italian restaurant a great place to celebrate. Among the minimalist establishments around the area, Buca di Beppo welcomes you with a large old-school signage and marble statues already prepping you for a whole new food adventure.
Here are 5 reasons why you should go to the newest Italian restaurant in town:
5. Buca di Beppo takes you to places…like Italy
While the façade of the restaurant prepares you to an instant trip to Italy as you enter their restaurant, the two-level family spot will take your breath away with their interior. They have a wine cellar, a sort of wine vineyard at the ceiling of their wine bar. Upstairs, you can oversee the food the moment it’s made via open kitchen. They also have some columns to suit the European feels as you indulge yourself with pasta and pizza.
4. It is the home to thousands of stories
A picture speaks a thousand words. At Buca di Beppo, you will see a lot of pictures displayed all over the restaurant. They serve an extraordinary ambiance of stories by their previous customers. There are more than 2,500 pictures displayed in all their stores, you surely enjoy looking at them. Their interior designer came from America to carefully curate all these photos in just a short time.
The restaurant dates back in 1993 in a basement in Minneapolis apartment building. This is the reason why the restaurant has the name (‘Buca’ roughly means hole or basement, while ‘Beppo’ is a rare spelling of Giuseppe, an Italian name for Joseph).
Moreover, they also have the Pope’s Table, their largest family table adorned with papal items. Meanwhile, some of the in-house chefs will serve you their food at the Chef’s Table.
3. They bring the whole family together
The Italian restaurant has a wide space with two levels to accommodate guests. The place is perfect for large groups, family, or barkadas who wanted to indulge the authentic Italian cuisine served by chefs trained from the main branch in America.
The family-style restaurant serves large portions of Italian all-time favorites with their signature dishes. Buca di Beppo is where the family and friends get together for a fun eat out. You’ll surely feel welcomed and at home with the hospitality of their staff, the ambiance, and the comfortable seats.
2. There’s food for everyone
You certainly won’t hold back with the large portions of food from their menu. Everything is for sharing! You should ready your stomachs for a delicious treat with their food. Large groups will certainly enjoy the treats they got in store.
From the house bread, entrée, and dessert, you’ll forget you’re on a diet. I personally love their Caesar Salad, the tangy taste of the Chicken Limone, plus the sweet and sour taste roller coaster of their Spaghetti Marinara and Meatballs!
1. You’ll always go back for more
I certainly recommend to everyone who’d like to drop by this restaurant are their signature meatballs and spaghetti. The tomato sauce they use for these dishes were imported and are exclusive to Buca branches only. You’ll certainly go back for more of the meatballs and Marinara sauce.
Buca di Beppo is located at G/F BGC Corporate Center 11th Ave. cor. 30th St. Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. They are now serving daily from 10 am to 12 midnight.
