If you’re looking for an intimate encounter with nature and ultimate Tagaytay vacation, this residential resort is for you!

Retreat into the woods with Canyon Wood’s quiet and serene atmosphere, perfect for those who want to escape the buzzing city life.

The cool breeze and pine trees welcome you to another place where you can rest and relax, an escape from the tiring and stressful city life.

This place reminded me of Baguio City – with the pine trees and the cool atmosphere. It wasn’t until I turned my gaze toward the overlooking view of Taal Lake and Volcano that I remembered the place is still in Tagaytay. At Canyon Woods Residential Hotel and Resort, to be exact.

Most of the houses you see when you pass by the residential area are similar in design. The suburban American-styled houses made it feel that you’re really here for a retreat from the city.

The rustic ambiance is continued in almost all their amenities – from the Clubhouse, down to the room designs of their hotel, The Peak. The residential resort was designed by National Artists for Architecture Francisco “Bobby” Manosa, featuring designs of log cabin and country-style homes. Recently, they celebrated their 20th anniversary.

Inclusive and secured community

Canyon Woods ensures the privacy and security of their members and guests. You know they value security because you’ll go through security checks throughout your stay. More than being a private resort, Canyon Woods is actually a subdivision which caters to residents in the area.

Insider tip: My favorite is their breakfast buffet (beef tapa, scrambled egg, chicken tocino, longanisa) and the definitely must-try star-shaped leche flan.

They have their own salon and Elements Spa where you can take your relaxation on the next level. They have separate rooms for foot spa and Thai massage rooms. I’ve tried their Reflex Massage for an hour, and I’m relieved from a week-long shoulder pain.

You can also use their gym, and play in the Fun Center packed with billiards, air hockey, Xbox and Play Station games, and Play Land. If you want some quiet, you can visit their library and watch movies in their mini-theatre.

If you’re planning to have your team building sessions, they also have some function rooms and business center.

The clubhouse has its own indoor swimming pool (4ft.) and jacuzzi area, if you prefer a wider pool area than the one in The Peak.

The pavilion is Canyon Wood’s event area overlooking a man-made lake. Aside from that, you can also drop by their playground, basketball and tennis courts. This is the venue for their recent OctoberFest. They have an outdoor pool (6ft.) and Jacuzzi area too.

Insider tip: There are a lot of insta-worthy spots here, so you can have an impromptu photoshoot with your #OOTD.

Other amenities

They have their own mini golf course, you can go from one course to another using their rental golf carts. You can also drop by their hanging bridge if you’re feeling adventurous. Their own church inside the village is a good venue for weddings and other celebrations, too.

If you’re looking for a nearby escape from the city where you can experience tranquility and comfort at your staycation, you should visit Canyon WoodsTagaytay.
