Everyone loves grilled food. Ihaw-ihaw is a staple food in the country and you can find it literally every street possible. In the famous food strip in Kapitolyo, Pasig City what looked like a residential house was the home for smoky savory grilled ribs.

At first, the restaurant name may remind you easily of the Hollywood actor Brad Pitt, but make no mistake! The owners were really named Brad and Pit. Partners Brad and Pit built their restaurant more than three years ago in the food strip in Lilac Street in Marikina City. But this Caribbean-inspired restaurant recently opened their doors in the busy streets of Kapitolyo.

A quick trip to Havana

Heavily inspired with the movie, “Chef” Bradley and Pit were moved to create their own version of the Cubano Sandwich, which one of their first dishes in their menu. As you enter their homey restaurant in Kapitolyo, you will smell the fragrant smell of grilled ribs. As your eyes tour around the area, the traces of antique things are pretty much evident –vinyl, old telephones, old bottles, cameras, and even typewriters. There’s even a tree design at the center of the restaurant to maintain their beach-inspired Caribbean, Cuban concept.

Shocking selection of rib variants

Brad and Pit’s pride themselves as one of the few rib shacks to offer an array of rib variants on top of the usually grilled barbecue ribs. Specializing on Rib dishes, they developed a few more variants so you have a lot to choose from. Aside from their Original Barbecue, Spicy Barbie, Dry Rub Ribs (served without the glaze), the Havana Rib (served with coffee glaze) for coffee lovers, and Tropical Ribs for those who love the sweet tropical taste that balances the smoky meaty taste of the ribs.





For starters, you can enjoy their Cubano Sandwich, grilled pork and sweet ham baguette and Taco Sticks, which is like our favorite lumpiang shanghai but the ingredients are from tacos.

A good way to savor your ribs is to drink their cocktails like Pina Colada and Rhum Runner. They have a variety of beverages like chocolate banana, mojito, margarita, and wine. For those who like it light, there are also milkshakes, coffee, and tea on their menu.

The best way to end the meal is to savor their best-selling hot lava cake. Savor the melting hot and cold flavors of the cake come fresh from the oven topped with vanilla ice cream. Tasty!

More seats for everyone

Wider space in their Kapitolyo branch can accommodate larger groups. From the 40-seater branch in Marikina, they upgraded to 120-seater restaurant in the second branch. New amenities include a function room, a bar at the back of the restaurant and even a smoking area on the side.

Still affordable

At P159 for a solo meal complete with sides and plain rice, you can enjoy their delicious ribs. Bradley shared when they were conceptualizing the rib shack, they considered the price and quality of the product so customers can eat out at their restaurant. With quality food, service, and affordable price, people are surely going back for more of the ribs.
